Located in the up and coming mountain village of Tinamastes, this 2.9 acre property is a 2 minute drive from the main road running through town. At the base of the property is the sturdy Tipico house of 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. It is built on a flat section and is ready to be lived in, or remodeled or rebuilt. Alongside the house is a bodega for storage. At the peak of the property are ocean and valley views and a spring, which can provide an extra source of water. Between the top of the property and the house and bodega below, there is an area suitable for additional construction.

The small town of Tinamastes has a supermarket, two churches, a sprinkling of small restaurants and a popular weekly Tuesday morning feria, which offers organically grown foods, herbs, spices, local art and much more. In recent years the area has attracted people young and old from various countries, so the town is a mix of long time locals and newer arrivals.

The area is hilly with elevation ranging from 2,200 to 3,000 feet, and features the Fila de Tinamastes a green wall of a mountain that overlooks the village. The climate is mildly warm during the morning hours and cooler in the afternoon and evening. Air conditioning is not needed. One thousand feet above is the mountain top called El Alto, which is a cloud forest, and the combination of cloud and mountain keep the climate cool and mild.

The city of San Isidro de el General is a scenic 25 minute drive away, and is the commercial center of the Southern zone. Here is where people within a 90 minute radius arrive for all types of service–medical, dental, legal, mechanical, etc. It is also the closest city to Costa Rica’s highest point, Cerro Chirripo. The other direction are the beaches, with the surf town of Dominical a 20 minute drive, and Manuel Antonio, with its beach and national park about an hour away..

The land has been in the hands of the same owner for nearly a half century. Everything has been well-maintained and cared for. He has grown and has producing a variety of fruit trees as well as bananas and sugar cane. This property has many possibilities, and could be used as a private home, a weekend rental, or commercially.
